Lotology

Lotology is the hobby of collecting lottery tickets. While Lotologists collect all types of lottery tickets, the primary collectibles are “scratch off” lottery tickets. There are three primary types of collections:

* “SC” or “scratched” lottery tickets are the primary collectible. ~75% of lotologists collect and trade used lottery tickets.
* “SV” or “Sample-Void” lottery tickets are tickets that are printed by the lotteries for training or proofing purposes. ~10% of lotologists collect this type of ticket.
* “MT” or “Mint” tickets are regular lottery tickets that have not been scratched at all in any way. ~15% of lotologists collect mint tickets.
